Submit Abstract
The scientific program of UAERDSC 2025 will include a wide range of workshops, seminars, poster presentations, as well as lectures by world renowned and eminent guest speakers during plenary and special sessions.
We encourage our colleagues from around the world to take part and join our list of speakers by contributing an abstract to either conduct a workshop or participate within the oral and poster presentation sessions.
Suggested Topics
Innovative Research in Rare Diseases
Abstracts may cover any type of innovative rare disease research, such as preclinical models, clinical studies, case studies, patient-focused studies, technological, economic, or policy research relating to health and social issues. This theme also includes collaborative initiatives and centers of excellence that involve cutting-edge strategies or projects that could be useful to other groups, organizations, patients, governments, academics, or professionals in the rare disease community.
Medical Education Advancement in Rare Diseases
The topics of the abstracts should include innovative models for medical education training, public health awareness, training of healthcare professionals (HCPs), information exchange, or training that advances screening and/or diagnosis.
Patient Community Building in Rare Diseases
Abstracts should include subjects like improvements in patient education, fresh approaches to encourage patient participation in the rare disease community, or productive examples of raising patient advocacy and awareness by utilizing social media and technology.
Other Topics
These abstracts should still be on rare diseases even though they don't suit any of the categories that were previously mentioned.
Guidelines for Submitting an Abstract:
A special criterion for accepting abstracts will be their topic as well as structure, content and degree of innovation. The scientific committee will accept abstracts based on their relevance and quality, structure, content and degree of innovation.
- Please note that a maximum of 300 words is permitted. The titles and the names of the authors are excluded from this number and have to be entered separately. Tables should not be included in the abstract body.
- Methods section should include type of statistical analysis done if applicable to the study.
- Statements like “Results will be discussed” are not acceptable and may lead to a rejection of the abstract.
